Definition:
Malaria is a parasitic infection transmitted by an infective female mosquito ‘Anopheles’ or it is a disease caused by a parasite that commonly infects a certain type of mosquito which feeds on human’s blood, that leads to acute life-threatening disease and poses a significant global health threat. Malaria is caused by a protozoon belonging to the group Plasmodium species that does not spread from person to person.
