This regional assessment provides invaluable information for policymakers in Europe and Central Asia to make informed decisions regarding the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.

This report highlights some of the innovative and effective strategies, policies and practices currently in force to improve the living conditions of indigenous peoples in cities and to contribute to a better understanding of urban indigenous peoples.

The purpose of the Report is to provide information to WIPO Member States, holders of TK, including indigenous peoples, the private sector, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, academic and research institutions and other interested parties, on the IP needs and expectations of TK holders expressed to WIPO during the FFMs.
