Abstract:
As a creative endeavour spurred on by the Natural Resources and the Environment from Indigenous Perspectives course in the Masters of Indigenous Relations program at Laurentian University, the story glimpses at life from the perspective of sweetgrass. Beginning life in fields of green, the story tells of the life of sweetgrass from its humble beginnings, the relationships it forms with the spirits that surround it, and the aspirations for a purposeful life that aims to be of service to others.
