Operational guidelines: Indigenous Peoples Policy
Publication Year: 2019
Abstract:
These guidelines provide guidance on the application of the Indigenous Peoples Policy that forms part of the Green Climate Fund’s environmental and social management system. The guidelines help to explain the requirements of the Indigenous Peoples Policy and the related environmental and social safeguards. The guidelines do not substitute for the need to exercise sound judgment in making project decisions. In case of any inconsistency or conflict between the guidelines and the environmental and social management system or Indigenous Peoples Policy, the provisions of the environmental and social management system and the Indigenous Peoples Policy prevail
