Essential Rights for Community Forest Management

Publication Year: 2020

Author(s): Friends of the Earth International

Abstract:

The report explains in detail why the implementation of these rights is necessary: for example, if the right to land is not respected, it is impossible to carry out CFM. In this way, we analyse various rights whose implementation is key to this traditional and collective practice. We not only refer to the content of each of the rights identified, but also give a brief account of the main threats that CFM faces.
