Abstract:
Bushfires and other natural hazards are a part of the Australian landscape, and an issue affecting communities no matter where we live. This training is a key product of a Bushfire and Natural Hazard Cooperative Research Centre project entitled "North Australian Fire and Natural Hazard Training", managed through RIEL at Charles Darwin University. As part of a program of action research projects based at Charles Darwin University entitled “Building Community Resilience in Northern Australia”, it has a strong focus on action research methods to promote and increase resilience in remote communities.
