Niyat Project: An Attempt of Boosting Food Security in Northern Argentina Through Agroecology
Publication Year: 2023
Author(s): Slow Food
Abstract:
Indigenous communities continue to face marginalization and exclusion from vital resources and opportunities, leading to alarming rates of poverty and malnutrition, particularly among women and young people. In some part of the world, they often live in conditions of high vulnerability, high food insecurity and lack of access to human rights in general. Many times, from the State, there are a whole series of programs and investments, but they encounter multiple barriers so that these investments can generate an endogenous development process. This situation is aggravated by high rates of food insecurity.
