Abstract:
This study aimed at an estimation of the need for rehabilitation in China and an analysis of existing TCM rehabilitation services. To better understand the quality of TCM rehabilitation services in China, the author investigated key health policies and services in the field of TCM rehabilitation in China by means of a document review and a questionnaire survey. As aforementioned in the results, TCM is highly integrated in terms of infrastructure and service delivery in rehabilitation services in Chinese health system rehabilitation services. However, further improvements are needed in the provision of commercial insurance, the development of highly qualified personnel, and the standardization of referral processes for TCM rehabilitation. The development of TCM rehabilitation in China has made remarkable achievements over the past two decades. This is consistent with significant progress in T&CM health services at the global level.
