The 2026 edition marks the 40th anniversary of this unique publication — a milestone that highlights both the enduring value of long-term documentation and the importance of centering Indigenous perspectives in global discussions. The 87 articles in this edition, written by 129 volunteer authors, document developments Indigenous Peoples have experienced throughout 2025 and include a special focus on peace and security.
