Manufacturing technique | The different traditional dresses they weaved are Dakmanda with top and Chuni (worn by Garo peoples), Gana plain, mekhela chador and Gamosa (worn by Assamese people) etc. Most of their products are being distributed and sold locally or outside the district. |
Method of Preparation | It takes 3 weeks or 1 months to complete one Dakmanda and it takes only one-two day to complete Gana plain and Gamosa. Dakmanda self designed by the weavers but the identity of dakmanda is micron (means eye in Garo language) which is in diamond shape. |
Material Composition | The Traditional holder practicing Handloom used Muga silk, Eri silk, Polyester, Mulberry, Rolax and Cotton thread as the raw material for their work. Tools- Chaka, Thread etc. |
How to implement | Most of their products are being distributed and sold locally or outside the district. |
